Whip up the dough:
In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, yogurt, baking powder, and vanilla flavour until a soft dough begins to form. If the mixture feels a bit sticky, sprinkle in a touch more flour until it’s easy to handle.
Shape the doughnuts:
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface. Using a round cutter (or even a cup!), cut out doughnut shapes, then use a smaller cutter to make the hole in the centre.
Bake to golden perfection:
Lightly brush each doughnut with a little oil or melted butter. Pop them into your air fryer at 180 °C for about 10 minutes, checking often to ensure they don’t overbake.
Mix the glaze:
In a small bowl, combine the icing sugar with just enough water to make a smooth, glossy icing. Stir in a few drops of orange food colouring and a splash of caramel flavour to taste.
Decorate & devour:
Once the doughnuts have cooled completely, dip them into the icing and then press them gently into the Halloween sugar strands sprinkles for a spooky-sweet finish.
