Spooky Rocky Road

Get into the Halloween spirit with this spooky twist on classic rocky road! Made with creamy white chocolate, crunchy Maltesers and fluffy marshmallows, then decorated with homemade marshmallow eyes and a creepy blood-red drizzle. It’s easy to make, fun to decorate and guaranteed to be a hit at any Halloween gathering!

Ingredients

For the rocky road:

  • 300 g white chocolate
  • 200 g Maltesers
  • 100 g mini marshmallows

For the decoration:

  • 10-12 mini white marshmallows
  • Halloween Confetti Sprinkles
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • A drop of Natural Burgundy Food Colouring

Instructions

  • Line a square baking tin with baking paper.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water, or in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  • Add the Maltesers and mini marshmallows to the melted chocolate and stir until everything is well coated.
  • Tip the mixture into the lined tin and press down firmly into an even layer.
  • Place in the fridge for 1–2 hours, or until completely set.
  • To make the spooky eyes, halve the mini white marshmallows. Take the small black dots from the Halloween Confetti Sprinkles and press one into the centre of each marshmallow half.
  • Mix the honey with a small drop of Burgundy Food Colouring until you have a deep red colour.
  • Remove the rocky road from the fridge and drizzle the red honey over the top. Finish with the spooky marshmallow eyes and leave the drizzle to set slightly.
  • Slice into squares and enjoy your spooky creation!
