Black Forest Chocolate Brownies (Valentine’s Edition)
Rich, fudgy chocolate brownies with a fruity Black Forest twist, finished with a pink drizzle and Valentine’s sprinkles. These brownies are perfect for sharing, gifting, or treating someone special this Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients
For the brownies
- 200 g unsalted butter
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 200 g caster sugar
- 3 medium eggs
- 120 g plain flour
- 40 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Cherry Flavour
- 1 tbsp Freeze Dried Raspberry Pieces
- 1 tbsp Freeze Dried Blueberry Pieces
For the topping
- 120 g icing sugar
- 2 –3 tbsp milk or water
- A few drops natural red food colouring
- Valentine’s-themed sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan 160°C).
- Line a square baking tin with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate together until smooth.
- Stir in the caster sugar, then beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Fold in the flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
- Stir in the Cherry Flavour, freeze dried raspberry pieces, and freeze dried blueberry pieces.
- Pour the mixture into the lined tin and smooth the top.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes, until set with a slight wobble in the centre.
- Allow to cool completely in the tin.
- Mix the icing sugar with milk or water and a few drops of red food colouring to create a smooth pink icing.
- Drizzle over the cooled brownies and immediately sprinkle with Valentine’s sprinkles.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
